Each and every summer and fall, our bands of Merino Wool sheep undertake an epic journey out of a Western movie or novel: a six day voyage of epic proportions over the jagged mountains, tight canyons, sweeping valleys and immense plains that define our little corner of the universe known simply as Sheep Trail. On this voyage, replete with cowboys on horseback, sheep dogs, the largest predators found in North America and some 10,000 Merino Wool sheep, a mountain range known as The Snowcrests stands between safety and impasse, demanding the tightly coordination and navigational skills only generations of sheep ranching could afford our ranchers and founders, The Helle family.
